This June 12, we're celebrating the health care heroes that give life at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH).
TMH's Annual Giving Day is an opportunity for community leaders, business leaders and friends of TMH to show their support.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 and 100% of your contributions will go directly to support the patients, team members and communities of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

What is Most Meaningful to You?
Chances are, you or someone you love has needed care at one of Tallahassee Memorial’s emergency or urgent care centers, physician practices or at the hospital itself. It’s comforting to know that we all have access to advanced medical care, such as one of the Southeast’s leading heart and vascular programs, Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units, and the region’s only Level II Trauma Center, right here in Tallahassee.
TMH draws its strength from the communities it serves.
Generous community support is vital. It allows us to provide care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, and to offer cost-prohibitive yet critical services other healthcare organizations may not provide. We do this because we are a locally governed, nonprofit healthcare system dedicated to meeting the unique needs of the communities we serve.

EMERGENCY & TRAUMA CARE
TMH is there for all of us when the unthinkable happens. You may not know this, but nearly two-thirds of all Leon County EMS patients are transported to TMH, and ALL patients requiring care for traumatic injury are transported to the Bixler Trauma & Emergency Center, the region’s only Level II Trauma Center. Your support saves lives.

REHABILITATION CENTER
Your generosity supports care for patients like Tim, who got walking again at the Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center. Funds raised through TMH Day will go toward acquiring a new RT-300, a device used to help patients regain functionality, for example, while holding a fork, dressing, bathing or relearning to take steps.

CLINICAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Every dollar donated for scholarships helps TMH retain top talent and provide the highest level of care. Last year, over 30 scholarships were awarded across service lines. TMH Foundation funding is also being used to support 10 colleagues as they complete the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) - Executive Health Systems Leadership (EHSL) program at FSU.

WOMEN AND CHILDREN
Your support saves lives. We’re home to our area’s only high-risk labor and delivery unit and Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). No matter how or when a little one arrives, we’re ready and equipped to deliver the highest level of care while helping mothers have the best birth experience possible.

HEART & VASCULAR CENTER
Thankfully, you don’t have to leave town for the best heart care. It’s right here, and donor support helps make it possible. TMH is currently expanding its ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) program, an advanced life support system that helps people whose heart or lungs are not functioning properly. With your help, we can offer this life-saving technology to more patients facing severe illness or injury.
See Your Impact
Thank you for your generosity! Here are a few examples of how generous donors like you make a difference at TMH!
YOU'RE MARGO'S HERO
TMH is home to the only Animal Therapy program in our region serving hospital inpatients and children and adults throughout our community. Donor funding helped acquire Margo, a former service-dog-in-training who was better suited to the therapy environment. Margo is now bringing love, hope and healing to everyone she encounters. Thank you!

YOU MAKE GETTING AN IV EASIER
An AccuVein Vein Finder is a device that helps healthcare professionals find veins easily by using infrared light. It creates a real-time image of the veins on the skin's surface, making it easier to locate a vein for procedures like drawing blood or giving an IV. It’s just one of the ways you’re making a hospital stay a little easier for patients!

YOU GET PATIENTS WALKING AGAIN
The Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center is a CMS five-star facility that offers inpatient and outpatient treatment. Donor support helped TMH purchase A MedQuip Advanced Electrical Stimulation Device, a therapeutic tool that uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle recovery and improve motor function. It enhances muscle strength, coordination and overall movement, and donors like you made it possible!

YOU GIVE BABIES A BETTER START
Our tiniest patients have unique needs. Your generosity provided specialty car seats so babies, who are too small for traditional car seats, can get home safely. In addition, your gifts helped provide pulse oximeters to send home with babies so their parents can continue their care and monitoring once they leave the NICU, as well as several Frog Positioning Aids for the NICU. These devices provide support to comfortably and safely position infants' extremities during medical procedures or daily care.
