Caitlin Ubilla's Story

She was born at TMH. So were her children. Her husband works here too. For Caitlin Ubilla, TMH is more than a workplace—it’s home. Now, thanks to the TMH Foundation, she’s earning her doctorate in nursing practice in executive health leadership. Because at TMH, your growth is part of our mission. 

 

"It's a really wonderful opportunity,” Caitlin shares, “not just for me, but also for the organization to be putting that level of education to their leadership team."

Caitlin began her clinical journey at TMH in 2015 as a Patient Care Assistant, and she has been growing into a leader ever since. "My trajectory at TMH has been pretty traditional: I started as a patient care assistant before becoming a nurse, then a charge nurse, and then assistant nurse manager, and a nurse manager," Caitlin explains. 

 

She now serves as Nurse Manager of Heart and Vascular Procedural Care Unit, where her leadership and passion uplift the entire care team—empowering nurses, collaborating with doctors, and advancing innovation in heart and vascular health. She reflects, "Putting in the work—seeing every level of how the care takes place and really getting involved has helped me so much in becoming a leader." 

 

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and the TMH Foundation are honored to support clinicians like Caitlin as they grow into the leaders our teams and patients can count on. "It means a lot to me that the foundation is allowing me to have this opportunity," Caitlin says. "I'm a firm believer that what you pour into the staff, they pour into the patients. We are here to serve the community, so when the community gives back to us, it really means so much."
